Cataclysm: Part - 1 of 2

Pre-Order Now!
WoWarcraft: Cataclysm is set to be released at the end of this year - you know it will live up to the hype and you know it will be epic, but now there is only one question: Will you be ready for Cataclysm?

If you're new to the game, you'll need to get to level 80 fast and efficiently to play Cataclysm.  Here is a list of what you need before you can play.

Also, I recommend Zygor's Speed Leveling guide or Dugi's Fast Leveling Guide because you need to get to level 80 to experience the high level Cataclysm content. Don't miss out on the next epic expansion to World of Warcraft while everyone else is ready at 80!

SPECIAL OFFER:  If you simply sign up for WoWarcraft updates and Cataclysm release information here, you'll get to try out Zygor's Guide and Dugi's Guide FREE. You'll only get that here by signing up now!

For one thing, Blizzard's new expansion World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is absolutely game changing.  Cataclysm turns the World of Warcraft into a whole new playing field. Veterans they will be completely blown away upon entering the new world.  New players will.. well, you guys have a long way to go, but I guarantee you the newbie learning experience will be the most fun and memorable. It was for me.

You newbies have a choice of leveling up either now or when Cataclysm releases.  I really recommend newbies level up now because of the substantial changes with the new Cataclysm expansion.  Since Cataclysm is changing almost every aspect of the game, its release will make it tougher to obtain information about things such as quests, items, and locations on the map.

I recommend either one of these guides for those of you new players wanting to speed up the leveling process in order to experience Cataclysm with everyone else:

Anyways, the beta has a lot of new content locked and the leveling caps out at 83 (beta only!).  When Cataclysm releases, the level cap will be 85.

Environment Changes...
In my opinion, I think the World of Warcraft evolution is great because seeing the same thing the past 5 years was getting old (minus the 1st and 2nd expansions).  I'm sure there will be plenty of people who will disagree with me, but I welcome the change in scenery.

The first changes to Azeroth you'll notice, if you're a veteran, includes changes to the big Horde and Alliance cities. The last two expansions gave us the new continents: Outlands and Northrend. Those expansions also opened up some new areas in Azeroth, but for Cataclysm, Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms have been drastically changed - the landscaping everywhere obviously looks different with the addition of new things and subtraction of old things and relocation of various things.

Quests and Dungeons...

Quests have also been altered to reflect the changes in Cataclysm. Even the lower level starting area quests have been revamped.  For you veterans, the higher level quests, although new, won't seem too different from the way past quests were formatted. But the new scenery and content won't make it so bad.

If you new players are still reading, it's crucial for you to make a decision now about leveling up to 80.  With the release of Cataclysm, the game will be forever changed because of the new content and you won't be able to find things it could be frustrating.. even for veteran players.

Dungeons on the other hand have been limited in the beta for the 80+ crowd. So far, I've only seen two: Throne of the Tides and Blackrock Caverns. The fights remind of me "vanilla WoW" and how tough things used to be.  I LOVE it and totally welcome it.

There is now a learning curve for instancing and dungeons in Cataclysm, again.  In my opinion, Blizzard really made things too simple with Wrath of the Lich King - that is, it was easy mode and every player was able to be rolling around in epics - it wasn't that difficult to get gear.

Players will really need to use their classes abilities such as crowd control in the dungeons.  Learning boss fights, staying focused so you don't wipe the raid, and lots of team coordination will be back... this is the way it should be!

Both of the instances had crazy boss fights, tough trash mob like the old "Vanilla" Molten Core. The fun is back, and for those who risk a lot gain a lot.  I'm hoping this foreshadows the rest of the new instances and dungeons. It would make things so much fun.

I dont understand why people would need a guide to play, but I guess to each his own.
You can play the game, but it would just be slower lol. my brother bought a guide and was doing better than I was so I guess they work.
